What is the free 15-minute consult?
A short video call before you book color. We look at your hair now, talk through your history and where you want to go, then pick the right service together. It's free, and it's required before a Bright Chapter. Book it on Vagaro as "Color Consult".
How much does it cost?
Prices are posted: Shape $85, Gloss & Go $95, Refresh $150, Signature Color $225, Bright Chapter $275. Add a Shape to any color service for $60. Everything is priced by the service and the time, never by your gender.
How long does a visit take?
Most color visits take about two hours or less, including the consult, color, treatment and styling. A Shape or a Gloss & Go takes about 45 minutes.
Do I need a deposit? What if I need to cancel?
No card or deposit needed to book. Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before your appointment. Inside 24 hours, 50% of the service is charged, to protect the time held for you.
Can you blend my grey or help me go silver?
Yes. A Gloss & Go softens grey without covering it. Growing out old color into your natural silver starts with a Signature Color, then a gloss every 6 to 8 weeks while it grows. Already silver? A gloss makes it brighter.
How much upkeep does bold color need?
Vivids look best with a gloss every 4 to 6 weeks. A Refresh matches roots within 8 weeks. Prefer fewer visits? Tell me in the consult, and we will choose color that grows out gracefully.
I've used box dye. Can you still color my hair?
Usually, yes. Layers of old color lift unevenly, so we start with the free consult and a strand test before booking color.
Is this salon for every gender?
Yes. My chair is for short hair on every gender, identity and texture. I'm a Hair Has No Gender Allied Space, and I price by the service and the time, never by your gender.
Who isn't this chair for?
I don't do fades; keep your barber for the sides and I'll do the color. I don't press or flat iron, so every finish is natural. I don't do long-hair color or extensions; the Hair Has No Gender directory lists affirming salons for length.
Do you help with thinning hair, hair loss, or medical wigs?
Not here. Hair loss care and custom cranial prostheses are the work of my sister practice, The Donna Jean Hair Restoration Clinic. Start there; when you're ready for color, I'm here.
How can I pay?
All major credit cards, plus buy now, pay later options, including Cherry financing.
